Every digit is drawn by clocks
There is no font and no seven-segment trickery. The numerals are assembled from real analog clock faces — the same mechanism that has told time for six centuries, choreographed to spell it out.
Clocks per digit
Each numeral is a three-by-two grid of faces. Straight edges, corners and curves are all built from hands pointing the right way.
Hands per face
Two hands share a pivot. Point them apart for a line, square them for a corner, or fold them together to leave the face blank.
A synchronised sweep
On the turn of every minute all forty-eight hands ease to their next position at once — the display's quiet, hypnotic heartbeat.

A digit consists of six analog clocks. Setting each clock to the necessary position forms a seven-segment display — the same principle behind the original ClockClock installation. Below: the positions for digits 0, 3, and 9.

Each face is a translucent glass disc with a tinted rim, a soft top-left sheen and an accent glow. Pick a light or dark theme, then colour the hands — System, Blue, Green or Amber — with liquid glass on iOS and Material You on Android.
